Dr. George J. Larkin Field

Home to the SNHU men’s and women’s soccer and lacrosse teams, Dr. George J. Larkin Field was opened in the fall of 2003.  Renovations to the former Penmen Field were highlighted by a FieldTurf playing surface, which allows the field to be used year-round.  Also unveiled in 2003 was the state-of-the-art press box, which is used for game filming and broadcasting, scoreboard operation and media use.  Larkin Field has bleacher seating for 2,000 and is the host field for the NHIAA soccer and lacrosse championships.  In 2009, Larkin Field received another facelift with the addition of the Penmen logo at midfield.

George Larkin oversaw the SNHU Athletic Department from 1969-2004, serving as Vice President for Student Affairs at the University from 1983-2004.  The field was dedicated in his honor on April 23, 2004.
