Female Athlete of the Week: Abigail Maker - Women's Soccer - Jr., F
Abigail Maker (Naples, Maine) registered seven points on three goals and an assist during a 2-0 week for the Penmen, which allowed them to clinch a berth in the Northeast-10 Championship. All of Maker's damage came Wednesday in a 5-3 win at Saint Anselm that kept the team's postseason hopes alive. Maker staked SNHU to a 2-0 lead with a pair of first-half goals, assisted on the eventual game winner and then all but sealed the win with a goal in the 79th minute that made it 5-2.

Male Athlete of the Week: Ryan Slatky - Men's Ice Hockey - Jr., G
Ryan Slatky (Manchester, N.H.) was huge in net for the Penmen in a season-opening 5-2 win at Fitchburg State on Friday. Slatky turned aside 40 of 42 shots in the victory, including 18 in the middle stanza. It was the seventh time Slatky compiled 40-plus saves in a game since the beginning of last season.

Women's Soccer (10-7-1, 7-6-1 NE-10)

Notes:
- The Penmen went 2-0 last week and they needed both wins as they received the help they needed and clinched the eighth and final spot in the Northeast-10 Championship with the upset win against sixth-ranked Adelphi.
- The team will now head to Adelphi on Tuesday for a rematch with the top-seeded Panthers that will put the winner into the semifinals.
- Junior Abigail Maker (Naples, Maine), who was named Northeast-10 Player of the Week earlier Monday, submitted a seven-point performance with three goals and an assist in the win at Saint Anselm on Wednesday, while sophomore Danielle Humphreys (Hebron, Conn.) scored two goals and junior Rene Hamel (Wilbraham, Mass.) added a pair of assists.
- Sophomore Miranda Peloquin (Greenville, R.I.) registered the game-winning goal and an assist in the triumph against Adelphi.
- Senior goalkeeper Autumn Scanlon (Waltham, Mass.) stopped 11 of the 15 shots she faced in all 180 minutes of both wins. Scanlon made six saves at Saint Anselm and then turned away five of the six shots that came her way against Adelphi.

Men's Soccer (11-3-2, 8-3-2 NE-10)

Notes:
- Men's soccer went 1-0-1 last week and earned the No. 5 seed for the Northeast-10 Championship.
- Senior Enzo Giuliani (Toulouse, France) scored two goals for four points as he netted the equalizer in the 40th minute of a 1-1 tie against Assumption on Tuesday and then potted the eventual game winner the 76th minute of Friday's 4-1 victory at Southern Connecticut.
-Freshman Romain Daniellou (Brieuc, France) registered a goal and an assist at Southern Connecticut as he scored an 81st-minute goal that gave SNHU some insurance and then assisted on a strike in the 85th minute that wrapped it up.
- Graduate goalkeeper Nick Zucco (Ludlow, Mass.) stopped six of the eight shots he faced, including four of the five shots that came his way against Assumption and two of three at Southern Connecticut.

Women's Volleyball (5-18, 3-7 NE-10)

-Volleyball dropped a 3-0 decision to New Haven on Saturday in its only match of the week.
-Junior Marisa Coronis (Hudson, N.H.) and senior Victoria Wehrmann (Dallas, Texas) each registered a team-high eight kills, while senior Megan Salamun (Scottsdale, Ariz.) added six kills.
-Freshman Joanne Coffey (Merrimack, N.H.) dished out 22 assists and tallied seven digs, while junior Kathleen Schurman (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) collected 18 digs.

- Field hockey wrapped up its most successful season in program history with a 2-1 loss against eighth-ranked Adelphi.
- Sophomore Laura van der Doorn (Beverwijk, The Netherlands) staked the Penmen to a 1-0 lead in the 22nd minute off an assist from junior Amaris Taylor (Tulsa, Okla.)
- Sophomore goalkeeper Melanie Rennie (Madison, Conn.) made a pair of saves.
The Penmen closed out their third season with program records for wins (9), conference victories (5) and winning percentage (.500). 

Men's Ice Hockey (1-0, 0-0 NE-10)

- Men's ice hockey opened the season with a 5-2 victory at Fitchburg State on Friday.

- Men's golf captured its second NEIGA Championship last Monday as it totaled a 616 to defeat runner-up Saint Anselm by nine strokes for its second tournament win of the fall.
Freshman Matt Paradis (Hooksett, N.H.) carded a 2-over 74 in the final round to grab a share of individual medalist honors as he finished with a 152 and earned Northeast-10 Tri-Golfer of the Week honors Tuesday.
- The team is now off until the spring.
