Longtime Baseball Assistant Coach 'Jimmy T' Passes

Jim "Jimmy T" Triantafillou, a longtime assistant baseball coach at Southern New Hampshire University, passed away Friday at the age of 84 after a brief illness.

Triantafillou started his Penmen coaching career with the softball team before moving over to the baseball program.  He spent 25 years as a member of the coaching staff until 2008.  After his coaching career, he was a fixture at SNHU and could be seen daily on campus during the school year, often working out in the Athletic Complex.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover Street in Manchester.  A funeral service will be held at 5:30 pm Tuesday in the funeral home by Fr. Athanasios Nenes.

Burial will be on Wednesday at the New Hampshire State Vetertans Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jim's name to the Boys & Girls Club of Manchester, 555 Union Street, Manchester, NH 03104.
