D.J. Lantz Named to PING All-Region Team

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. – Junior D.J. Lantz (New London, N.H.) of the Southern New Hampshire University golf team, was recently named to the Golf Coaches Association of American (GCAA) PING All-Region team for the East Region.

Lantz compiled one of the finest single seasons ever for an SNHU golfer in 2009-10.  In 10 tournaments this season, he finished in the top 10 nine times, including six top three finishes.  He earned medalist honors at the season-ending AIC Invitational, and qualified to compete at the NCAA Regional as an individual.  At the regional, Lantz finished tied for eighth among 108 golfers and missed qualifying for the NCAA national championship by one stroke.

This season, Lantz compiled a stroke average of 74.1, setting a single-season school record.  That mark was previously held by current Penmen golf coach Matt Arvanitis.
