Golf Seventh at Mike Bello Invitational

BALDWINSVILLE, N.Y. – Freshman Ernie Lupi (Bradford, Mass.) led the Southern New Hampshire University golf team to a seventh-place finish out of 11 schools at the Mike Bello Invitational hosted by Le Moyne College at the Timber Banks Golf Club Wednesday.

Lupi finished tied for 12th overall with a score of 80, eight shots behind medalist Tyler Phillips of Roberts Wesleyan College.  James Hickey (Manchester, N.H.) finished tied for 23rd with a score of 83, while Nick Burke (Sandwich, Mass.) and Cody Carlson (Wellesley, Mass.)  each carded 87s to tie for 38th.  Vince Kimball (Lebanon, N.H.) rounded out the Penmen finishers with a score of 94.

Southern New Hampshire wraps up its 2011-12 season this weekend when it plays in the River Hawk Invitational at Meadow Creek Golf Club in Dracut, Mass.
