MANSFIELD, Mass. – Sophomore Matt Paradis (Hooksett, N.H.) of the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team was named to the Northeast-10 All-Conference First Team, the league office announced Friday.
Across 22 rounds of golf this season, Paradis was two-over par and averaged a 73.9 per round. Paradis, who was selected to the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) PING East All-Region Team last month, finished in the top 10 six times in the 10 events he played in, including three top-five showings. Paradis began the season by winning the Franklin Pierce Invitational on Sept. 11-12 with a 9-under 135 as the team finished second. He also won a share of medalist honors as he led the team to its second straight NEIGA Championship on Oct. 23-24. The Penmen finished second at the Barton Intercollegiate on March 13-14, as Paradis was the individual runner-up with a two-under 214. Paradis wrapped the season with a 4-over 220 at the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional on May 8-10, finishing tied for fifth.
