Paradis Makes Late Push, as Men’s Golf Wraps Fall with Third-Place Finish at Le Moyne Fall Invitational

Senior Matt Paradis (Hooksett, N.H.) fired a 4-under 68, as the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team placed third at the Le Moyne College Fall Invitational on Saturday at the Cavalry Club.

INDIVIDUAL SCORERS

  • Paradis finished third, overall – just two strokes off the pace – charging up the leaderboard from 12th after Friday's 73.
  • Junior Ryan Anderson (Beverly, Mass.) took eight strokes off his opening-round score with a 2-under 70 that tied him for 11th with a 148.
  • Classmate Garret Olivar (Manchester, N.H.) matched his 148 by carding a 75 that he paired with Friday's 73.
  • Freshman Matt Conti (Walpole, Mass.) tied for 23rd with a two-round total of 162 after a 77 in the final round.

NOTES

  • Freshman Brennan Hughes (Bedford, N.H.), who did not factor in the scoring, shot an 83 to total a 162.
  • Junior Drew Kane (Scarborough, Maine), playing as an individual, improved upon his first-round score by three shots with a 73 that gave him a 149 to tie for 18th.
  • Senior Tyler Silver (Lebanon, N.H.; 76-80=156), junior Jacob Rosen (Johnston, R.I.; 79-78=157) and senior Etienne Bourgoin (Abington, Mass.; 80-79=159) also played as individuals.
  • Paradis made one of three eagles in the tournament and tied for the lead with nine birdies.
  • Roberts Wesleyan College captured the tournament with a 7-over 583, which was two strokes ahead of Laval University.
  • Laval's Antoine Roy defeated Roberts Weslyan's Brandon Grzywacz with a birdie on the first playoff hole after both finished with a 5-under 139 at the top of the individual leaderboard.
  • The Le Moyne Fall Invitational was comprised of 74 student-athletes from 12 institutions.
