Mercy would dominate the third quarter while shooting seven shots to Southern New Hampshire's two, and scoring two unanswered goals to go up 7-6 on SNHU.
However, the Penmen would score the first two goals of the fourth quarter to take an 8-7 lead with 12:20 left to play in regulation. Cameron Joyce (Braintree, Mass.) would score his second goal of the game from Ryan Woodford (Scituate, Mass.), while Buckley scored his fourth of the game just 1:20 later. SNHU would hold the fourth quarter lead for about four minutes until Mercy scored three consecutive unanswered goals.
