    MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Southern New Hampshire University Department of Athletics and Recreation has released its annual Year in Review, highlighting the successes enjoyed by its 20 varsity teams in the 2016-17 academic year. The 36-page report highlights the Penmen's success in competition, the classroom and the community.
  • Penmen Earn Third Straight Queen City Cup

    MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Southern New Hampshire University athletic department was handed its third consecutive “Queen City Cup” by Manchester Mayor Ted Gatsas at City Hall on Monday afternoon after the Penmen defeated Saint Anselm College in the year-long competition encompassing 16 sports contested between the two schools. SNHU posted a 20-14 victory this season after chalking up a 26-10 win last year and winning 22-12 in the Cup’s inaugural year back in 2014-15.

    MANCHESTER, N.H. - Youth soccer players of all ages and ability levels will once again have the opportunity to develop their skills and increase their knowledge of the game this upcoming summer with Soccer Sphere. For the past nine years, Soccer Sphere camps have provided a fun environment for all ages to grow and develop. Soccer Sphere has been an integral part of the soccer community in the state of New Hampshire.

    MANCHESTER, N.H. - Family, friends, alumni and current members of the Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer team gathered on the university's campus Sunday, April 22 to celebrate the 2016 season. The Penmen finished with an overall record of 12-5-2, with some of the highlights being earning recognition on Sportscenter Top 10 plays and three players signing professional contracts.

    BEDFORD, N.H. – Senior Devin Gilligan (Amherst, N.H.) and graduate student Abla Chadli (Rabat, Morocco) took home male and female Athlete of the Year honors, respectively, to highlight nine major awards that were given out Monday night as the Southern New Hampshire University Department of Athletics & Recreation celebrated the 2016-17 season and recognized its seniors at the 52nd Annual Athletic Awards Ceremony, which was held at the Manchester Country Club.

    MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Southern New Hampshire University athletic department announced Friday that its 372 student-athletes posted a department-wide grade-point average of 3.34 in the fall semester, setting a new school mark and extending a streak of consecutive semesters of a department GPA of 3.0 or better to nine.

    MANCHESTER, N.H. – Southern New Hampshire University broke ground over the summer on a brand new $25-million multi-sport stadium for the Department of Athletics that will be home to men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s tennis, and women’s track & field. The facility, which will also host select field hockey home games, is expected to open in the Fall of 2017.
