    MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Southern New Hampshire University Department of Athletics and Recreation has released its annual Year in Review, highlighting the successes enjoyed by its 20 varsity teams in the 2017-18 academic year.  The 36-page report highlights the Penmen's success in competition, the classroom and the community.
  • Penmen Pride Show Set to Air July 21 in First of 18 National, Regional Broadcasts

    MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Southern New Hampshire University Department of Athletics will be featured on the “Penmen Pride” Show, which will cover Penmen Stadium and the teams that call it home, and will air 18 times on three national and regional networks, beginning July 21. The show, which was produced by Cod Rock Media, will be available in 50 million homes.
  • SNHU Places 242 Student-Athletes on NE10 Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll

    MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Southern New Hampshire University athletic department placed 242 of its student-athletes, representing all 19 programs, on the Northeast-10 Spring 2018 Commissioner's Honor Roll, the league office announced Tuesday morning.

    MANCHESTER, N.H. – Southern New Hampshire University Associate Director of Athletics Tom Wilkins and Head Women’s Basketball Coach Karen Pinkos presented a check for Catholic Medical Center’s Breast Care Center to CMC’s Vice President of Philanthropy Jennifer Higgins Pitre on Thursday for the money raised through Penmen Pink Day initiatives throughout the 2017-18 season.
  • Student-Athletes Recognized at 53rd Annual SNHU Athletic Awards Ceremony

    BEDFORD, N.H. – Seniors Chris Walters (Stamford, Conn.) and Rianna Fasanello (E. Bridgewater, Mass.) received male and female Athlete of the Year honors, respectively, to highlight nine major awards that were handed out Monday night as the Southern New Hampshire University Department of Athletics & Recreation celebrated the 2017-18 season and recognized its seniors at the 53rd Annual Athletic Awards Ceremony, which was held at the Manchester Country Club.

    MANSFIELD, Mass. – Senior Tyler McLaren (Pepperell, Mass.) of the Southern New Hampshire University men’s cross country team captured Northeast-10 Sport Excellence Award honors and was also one of a league-high 11 Penmen to receive NE10 Academic All-Conference recognition – doing so for the third consecutive season – as the conference office announced its fall academic honors Thursday.

    MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Southern New Hampshire University Department of Athletics officially opened Penmen Stadium – its brand new, state-of-the-art facility – when it held its ribbon-cutting ceremony in front of a crowd of more than 300 people Saturday morning and then followed that up with a men’s lacrosse victory in the first game played on the new turf.

    Junior goalkeeper Daniel Milton (Ajax, Ontario) stopped all six shots he faced, but after 110 minutes of scoreless soccer, the fourth-seeded Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer team fell to fifth-seeded Le Moyne College, 4-2, in penalty kicks Tuesday night in a Northeast-10 Championship quarterfinal match at Larkin Field.

    Junior Alex Satrustegui (Pamplona, Spain) scored less than a minute into the second half to stake the Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer team to a 1-0 lead, but Saint Michael’s College would score twice, including in double overtime, to earn a 2-1 win at Duffy Field in the regular-season finale.
