Men’s Tennis Match Versus Post Suspended Due to Rain

The Southern New Hampshire University men's tennis team opened the season with its first dual match against Post University on Thursday at the SNHU Tennis Courts at Penmen Stadium, but a decision will likely have to wait until the spring. 

SNHU is up, 1-0, after winning all three doubles matches, 5-2, to earn the point. Juniors Bas van Biezen (Sassenheim, Netherlands) and Willem van Biezen (Sassenheim, Netherlands) earned the victory at No. 1, with graduate students Ricardo Marreiros (Portimao, Portugal) and Miguel Marreiros (Portimao, Portugal) capturing the win at No. 2, and grad student Tiago Fernandes (Porto, Portugal) and freshman Fernando Torres (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico) coming away victorious at No. 3. 

The match will most likely resume with the beginning of singles play sometime in the spring. 

The Penmen are back in action Sunday, Oct. 7 (12 p.m.) when they travel to Roberts Wesleyan College.
