2007:Named to the Northeast-10 Second Team...played in 23 games with 17 starts...was batting a team-high .404 before suffering a hand injury during a doubleheader at Saint Michael's (4/19)...registered seven doubles and a home run...was 2-5 with an RBI against Centenary (3/22)...went 2-4 with a double at CW Post (4/6)...batted 4-5 with a home run and three RBI in a doubleheader against Bentley (4/11)...went 3-4 with three runs scored in game one at AIC (4/13)...was 4-8 with three doubles in a doubleheader at Bryant (4/14)...had hit safely in eight straight games at the time of her injury.

2006: Enjoyed an outstanding rookie season in which she started 44 of 45 games and batted a team-high .347 (42-121)...led the team in on-base percentage (.444) and ranked second in runs scored (24), homeruns (3) and mutiple-hit games (11)...ranked third in RBI (16)...went 3-for-7 during a sweep of Saint Anselm and 4-for-7 with three runs in a sweep of nationally-ranked Le Moyne...drove in four runs in a 9-1 win over Bentley...had a season-high four hits and three RBI in a 10-3 win over Assumption.

HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL: A 2005 graduate of Norton High School where she was a four year member of the softball and soccer team...also lettered in basketball and track...played softball for coach Peter Peloquin...batted .428 as a senior and .448 over her high school career...led the Lancers to a 19-4 overall record as a senior and back-to-back league championships...served as captain and was named the team's MVP as a junior and senior...was named MVP of the league twice and was a league all-star all four years...was a member of the Spanish Honor Society...also named Boston Globe and Boston Herald all-scholastic...born Karissa Michelle Bettencourt on May 1, 1987...daughter of Chuck and Margie Bettencourt...public relations major.
