Women’s Basketball Raises Nearly $2500 for Breast Cancer Charities

MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Southern New Hampshire University women's basketball team donated close to $2500 to breast cancer organizations following its 11th Annual Penmen Pink Day on Feb. 6.

The team raised most of its money by selling short- and long-sleeved T-shirts, in addition to holding a raffle prior to its game against Saint Michael's College that featured great prizes, which were donated by individuals, as well as local businesses and sports teams.

Head coach Karen Pinkos and her squad donated $1700 to Catholic Medical Center's Breast Care Center, $500 to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund and $250 to Camp Bravehearts, an oncology camp for women.
