Freshman Hannah May (Phoenix, Ariz.) carded an 84 Thursday, as the Southern New Hampshire University women's golf team continues to sit sixth at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate.

INDIVIDUAL SCORERS

  • May moved up the leaderboard into 24th in the field of all Division I competition.
  • Junior Brooke Barrett (Bedford, N.H.) bettered her opening-round score by one stroke with a 92 for a 185 that has her tied for 36th.
  • Senior Morgan Mitchell (Charlton, Mass.), who did not factor into Wednesday's team score, improved upon her first round by three shots with a 93. She stands at 189 through 36 holes.
  • Senior Kaitlyn Lutinski (Derry, N.H.) turned in a 94 and has a two-round total of 186.

NOTES

  • Freshman Anna Casagrande (Pelham, Mass.) did not factor into the team scoring with a 104 and now owns a total of 198.
  • Sophomore Makyla Lewellen (Zainesville, Ohio), playing as an individual, shaved eight strokes off her opening round with an 87 – the second best score of the tournament for the Penmen. She is at 182 for the two days.
  • Senior Kailey Coleman (No. Berwick, Maine), also playing as an individual, added a 91 to go with Wednesday's 88 for a total of 179.
  • The University of North Carolina Asheville, which is hosting the tournament, continues to lead through 36 holes with a 638, which is five shots better than St. John's University.
  • Yale University's Ami Gianchandani is still the individual leader with an 8-over 152 that has her two strokes in front of St. John's Kaitleen Shee.
  • The Pinehurst Intercollegiate is comprised of 41 student-athletes from six institutions, with all but Southern New Hampshire competing in NCAA Division I.
