In 2009, Teixeira, who also garnered Daktronics First Team All-Region honors this season, led the Penmen in scoring with 10 goals and three assists for 23 points, her 10 goals the most by a Penmen player in a single season since Lindsay Parks registered 11 goals in 2003. She recorded multiple goals on four occasions, and had game-winning goals in a 4-3 overtime win over Lincoln Memorial and a 2-1 win against Bentley.
