  • McLaren Headlines 11 Penmen on NE10 Academic All-Conference Teams

    MANSFIELD, Mass. – Senior Tyler McLaren (Pepperell, Mass.) of the Southern New Hampshire University men’s cross country team captured Northeast-10 Sport Excellence Award honors and was also one of a league-high 11 Penmen to receive NE10 Academic All-Conference recognition – doing so for the third consecutive season – as the conference office announced its fall academic honors Thursday.
  • Penmen Stadium Officially Opens with Ribbon Cutting, Men’s Lax Win

    MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Southern New Hampshire University Department of Athletics officially opened Penmen Stadium – its brand new, state-of-the-art facility – when it held its ribbon-cutting ceremony in front of a crowd of more than 300 people Saturday morning and then followed that up with a men’s lacrosse victory in the first game played on the new turf.

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Senior Rianna Fasanello (E. Bridgewater, Mass.)  of the Southern New Hampshire University women's soccer team was selected as a United Soccer Coaches All-America Second Team honoree Wednesday night. Fasanello was also joined on the United Soccer East All-Region Team by classmates Trisha Luis (Lowell, Mass.) and Paige Salmon (W. Hempstead, N.Y.).

    Senior Trisha Luis (Lowell, Mass.) tied the match with a penalty kick in the 59th minute, but a pair of goals less than two minutes apart late in the match lifted second-seeded and 17th-ranked Mercy College to a 3-1 victory against the third-seeded and 24th-ranked Southern New Hampshire University women's soccer in an NCAA Tournament second round tilt Sunday at Mercy Field.

    After scoring the first goal of last Sunday's match to lead the program to its second Northeast-10 title, junior Miranda Peloquin (Greenville, R.I.) did it again on frigid and windy Friday afternoon, staking the third-seeded and 24th-ranked Southern New Hampshire University women's soccer team to an early advantage, as it rolled to a 3-0 NCAA first round victory against sixth-seeded Georgian Court University at Mercy College's Mercy Field, to claim the program's first ever NCAA Tournament win.
