Women’s Tennis Kicks Off Spring at Harvard

The Southern New Hampshire University women's tennis team opened its spring slate Saturday with a 7-0 loss to Divison-I foe Havard University at the Murr Center Courts.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Harvard earned the doubles point with wins at Nos. 1 and 3. At the time of the clinch, freshman Alexxa Etienne (Bayamon, Puerto Rico) and senior Rachel Wagner (Framingham, Mass.) were up on Isabel Jasper and Rachel Lim, 4-3, at No. 2.
  • The Crimson then swept all six singles, with senior Anna Sala (Matadepera, Spain) and Etienne winning a team-best four games each. Freshman Lior Pachuorkovski (Zoran, Israel) captured three games.

NOTES

  • This marked the first all-time meeting between the Penmen and Crimson.
