MANSFIELD, Mass. – Senior Marisa Coronis (Hudson, N.H.) of the Southern New Hampshire University women's volleyball team was selected as the Northeast-10 Player of the Week for the period ending Nov. 12, the conference office announced Tuesday.
Coronis, who also won the award back on Oct. 31, totaled 58 kills (4.83 k/s), four service aces (0.33 sa/s), 39 digs (3.25 d/s) and eight blocks (0.67 b/s), while hitting .293, during a 3-0 week for the Penmen. Coronis' performance helped her break the program's single-season kills mark, while she fell just one kill shy of matching the all-time record. The three consecutive wins were also the first time SNHU has turned that trick since Nov. 6-13, 2015. Coronis posted 13 kills on .323 hitting, to go along with 11 digs and four blocks in Tuesday's 3-0 win at Merrimack College, before posting 24 kills and 19 digs, while hitting .333, in a 3-2, come-from-behind victory against the College of Saint Rose on Friday. Coronis, in her final career match, equaled her lifetime hitting percentage of .241, while tallying 21 kills, nine digs, three blocks and two service aces, in a 3-1 win against Le Moyne College on Senior Day.
