Female Athlete of the Week: Nicole Kennedy - women's lacrosse - Jr., GK
Nicole Kennedy (Windham, Maine) backboned the Penmen to a season-opening 17-11 victory against Roberts Wesleyan College on Saturday as she turned away 15 of the 26 shots she faced. The 15 saves match a career high for Kennedy, who earned the first Northeast-10 Goalie of the Week honor of her career earlier Monday.

Male Athlete of the Week: Ben Criscuolo - baseball - Jr., P
Ben Criscuolo (Branford, Conn.) spun a no-hitter in a 14-0 victory against Nyack College on Saturday. Criscuolo, who was named the Northeast-10 Pitcher of the Week for the first time in his career earlier Monday, struck out 15 batters in the complete-game effort and fanned the side three times. It marked the first no-hitter for the Penmen since Junior Mendez held the University of the Sciences hitless in a 2-0 win March 3, 2013.

Women's Basketball (14-13, 8-13 Northeast-10)

Notes:
- Women's basketball wrapped the season just one game out of the fifth and final playoff spot in the Northeast Division.
- The 14 wins are the most for the program since it captured 19 victories during the 2011-12 season, which was also its most recent winning campaign before now.
- Freshman Kylie Lorenzen (Holliston, Mass.) was named the Northeast-10 Rookie of the Week on Friday. She is the first NE-10 Rookie of the Year ever for the Penmen and their first conference rookie of the year since 1994. 

Men’s Basketball (20-10, 14-7 Northeast-10)

Notes:
- The Penmen will battle Saint Anselm for the first time ever in the Northeast-10 Championship on. SNHU leads the all-time series, 32-31.
-SNHU has won 10 of its last 12 games, including five of six and three straight.
-Southern New Hampshire is now 17-11 (.607) all-time in the Northeast-10 Championship and has won seven of its last nine games in the conference tournament.
-With their home slate most likely completed, the Penmen finish 13-3 at the Fieldhouse, including 11-1 versus Northeast-10 opponents.
-Head coach Stan Spirou became the eighth head coach ever to win 600 NCAA Division II contests in a first round victory against AIC on Friday.
-The Penmen were just 1-5 when trailing at the half this season entering last week before it rallied from a halftime deficit in all three wins.
- Senior Rodney Sanders (Elizabeth, N.J.) averaged 23.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.3 steals, while shooting 62.5 percent from both the field (25-40) and beyond the arc (10-16), as well as 90.9 percent (10-11) from the stripe, in the trio of victories. Sanders also hit the game-tying 3-pointer with 1.7 seconds on the clock in regulation of the eventual semifinal win at Southern Connecticut on Sunday.
- Redshirt-sophomore Chris Walters (Stamford, Conn.) added 21.0 points, 13.7 rebounds, 5.0 blocks, 2.0 steals and 1.7 assists per game during the week as he notched a double-double in each win and was 33-for-37 (89.2%) at the line during the stretch.
-Senior BJ Cardarelli (Manchester, Conn.) also posted a solid week with 16.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.7 blocks and 1.3 assists per contest.

- SNHU is 5-0 to start the season for the first time since 2013.
- The Penmen outscored their opponents, 48-12, during the five-game swing.
- In the five games, the Penmen starters combined to go 5-0 with a 2.13 ERA as they threw 38 innings, allowing 10 runs – nine earned – on 17 hits, while striking out 35 and walking nine.
- Ben Criscuolo tossed SNHU's first no-hitter since 2013 in the win against Nyack as he struck out 15.

- The Penmen begin the season 1-0 for the second straight year.
Nicole Kennedy made a career-high 15 saves on 26 shots en route to being named the Northeast-10 Goalie of the Week on Monday.
- Freshman Kristin Wilder (Framingham, Mass.) potted five goals and handed out an assist for six points in her first collegiate contest.
