Golbranson Fans 12 in Baseball Blanking of Saint Michael's

LANTANA, Fla. – Steve Golbranson (Abington, Mass.) allowed just one hit and fanned 12 in eight innings of work as Southern New Hampshire University blanked Saint Michael’s College 3-0 in a non-league baseball game Friday at Santaluces Sports Complex.  The Penmen improve to 4-4 on the season, while the Purple Knights are 1-7 overall.

Golbranson struck out 12 and allowed just a pair of walks in his eight innings.  Garrett Jewell (Alexandria, N.H.) worked the ninth and allowed one hit and struck out one to pick up the save.

Matt Boulter (Wrentham, Mass.) scored twice for the Penmen and was 1-1 with a walk.  Jon Minucci (Madison, Conn.) was 1-2 with an RBI, while Thomas Quicker (West Islip, N.Y.) was 1-1 with three walks and a stolen base, while Bobby Wronski (Arlington, Mass.) was 1-4 with a run scored.

Southern New Hampshire faces Molloy at 9:30 am and Saint Michael’s at noon Saturday at Santaluces Sports Complex.
