Quicker Repeats as NE-10 Baseball Freshman of the Week


SOUTH EASTON, Mass. – Freshman Thomas Quicker (West Islip, N.Y.) of the Southern New Hampshire University baseball team was named the Northeast-10 Conference Freshman of the Week for the second straight week on Monday.  Quicker shares the award with Nick LaCroix of Franklin Pierce University.

Quicker, the Penmen starting third baseman, batted .471 with seven runs batted in and nine runs scored in a 4-1 week for Southern New Hampshire.  He slugged .765 for the week with a pair of doubles and a home run.  Quicker hit safely in all but one game and finished 2-3 with two runs scored and four RBI in a 10-5 win over Pace Saturday.

One of two players to start all 24 games to date for Southern New Hampshire, Quicker is batting .307, good for third on the team, with two home runs and 12 runs batted in.  He is also 6-for-7 in stolen base attempts this season.
