Notes: Southern New Hampshire has now won four straight - all against Northeast-10 Northeast Division foes - following a three-game sweep of Bentley. The Penmen, ranked 10th in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division II Poll, are coming off a 6-2 victory against the Falcons on Tuesday and take on fifth-ranked Franklin Pierce on Wednesday. Junior Alex Person pitched seven innings of one-run ball, allowing six hits, while striking out six and not walking a batter. Sophomore Sean Webster was 2-for-4 with a walk and a run scored, with Goldstein going 2-for-5 with an RBI. Graduate student Ryan Gendron (run, RBI), who hit his second home run of the year, junior Carson Helms (run) and sophomore Taylor Olmstead (run) were all 1-for-4. SNHU is in line with the 2012 team for best start to the season through 20 games.

Notes: Saint Michael's enters Thursday's action after being swept by Assumption. The Purple Knights, who play host to Saint Anselm on Wednesday, dropped a doubleheader to the Greyhounds on Saturday by scores of 7-3 and 4-1. In the second game, Saint Michael's fell behind 4-0 before pushing a run across in the ninth. The Purple Knights struck out 15 times and only managed a pair of hits. Junior Dylan Lavery allowed two runs on two hits, while striking out three and walking three, over six innings of work. Junior Drew Salk was 1-for-4 with an RBI, as freshman Matt Downing collected the other hit in a pinch-hitting performance.
