Maybury, Smith Receive NE-10 Hockey Honors


SOUTH EASTON, Mass. - Sophomore Troy Maybury (South Portland, ME) was named the Northeast-10 Conference ice hockey Player of the Week, while freshman Mark Smith (Ronkonkoma, NY) was named the NE-10 Freshman of the Week, it was announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Maybury, SNHU's leading scorer thus far with seven goals and four assists for 11 points, totaled three goals and two assists in a 1-1 week for the Penmen.  He registered a goal and an assist in a 7-2 win over Framingham State on Saturday, then had two goals and an assist in a loss to Nichols College on Sunday.

Smith registered a goal and four assists for the Penmen last week.  He recorded two assists in the Framingham State victory, then finished with a goal and two assists against Nichols.  He has recorded three goals and seven assists this season, good for third on the squad and tops among all first year players.
