SOUTH EASTON, Mass. - Sophomore Troy Maybury (South Portland, ME) of the Southern New Hampshire University ice hockey team was named the Northeast-10 Player of the Week for the second straight week, it was announced by the conference office on Monday. In addition, Penmen netminders Shane Brooks (Kennebunk, ME) and Todd Rowley (Billerica, MA) were named the NE-10 Co-Goaltenders of the Week, while Bob Bryant (Nashua, NH) and Ryan DiBartolomeo (Leominster, MA) were named to the Weekly Honor Roll.
Maybury, who has recorded multiple points in the last five games, totaled three goals and three assists in a pair of victories last week. He totaled two goals and two assists in a 7-2 win over Stonehill on Wednesday, then added a goal and an assist in a win over Westfield State on Saturday evening. He leads the Penmen with 18 goals and 12 assists for 30 points.
Brooks and Rowley platooned in goal for the Penmen last week, with both seeing significant time in both victories. The pair combined for a 2.50 goals-against average and .904 save percentage in the two wins. In 50:43 of action, Rowley recorded a 2.37 goals-against average and .925 save percentage, while Brooks was in between the pipes for 69:07, notching a 2.60 GAA and .885 save percentage.
Bryant, who leads SNHU with 18 assists on the season, had three goals and an assist last week, including three points (2-1-3) in the Stonehill victory. DiBartolomeo finished with a goal and an assist in each of last week's triumphs.
