Notes: The Penmen set season-highs for runs (22) and hits (15) in a 22-1 win over Franklin Pierce in the home opener on Monday.  SNHU, ranked 18-th in the nation, has won 13 consecutive games.  They have held the opponent to less than two runs in all but one of the games during the streak.  Junior Maddy Barone (Halifax, Mass.) allowed one unearned run in Monday's start, improving to 11-1, 1.02, and was named Northeast-10 Pitcher of the Week on Monday.  Sophomore Olivia Strasser (Rutland, Mass.) last worked in the second game of the doubleheader at Bentley on Saturday, earning the win in game SNHU won 3-1.  Senior Erin Garczynski (Norwood, Mass.) drove in four runs with a pair of doubles and freshman Emily Carbonneau (Lowell, Mass.) went 3-for-4 with a home run and five RBI in the win over Franklin Pierce.

Notes: The Purple Knights travel to SNHU after dropping two-of-three at Merrimack last weekend.  They won the opener 4-3 with a 10-hit attack, but dropped the second game Saturday 5-0.  Merrimack won the rubber game Sunday 10-5.  Tori Rathwell, who has started 11 of the team's 14 games in the circle, is also the offensive leader.  She has 18 hits, including six doubles and two homers.  The Purple Knights have hit only four home runs on the season.  SNHU swept the three meetings with Saint Michael's last season.  The new head coach this season is Nick Goodreau.
