Notes: The Penmen begin the post-season after finishing in second place in the Northeast Division of the NE10.  SNHU was ranked as high as #13 during the regular season, which included a school record 22 game win streak from March 13-April 12.  Anchored by starting pitchers junior Maddy Barone (Halifax, Mass.) and sophomore Olivia Strasser (Rutland, Mass.), the Penmen have the lowest ERA in the nation among Division II teams at 1.24.  SNHU recorded 17 shutouts in its 48 games.  Barone and Strasser are 1-2 in ERA in the league...NE10 Player of the Year, Senior Erin Garczynski (Norwood, Mass.) leads the NE10 with a .428 batting average.  On Saturday, she moved into a tie for first in career hits among Penmen players with Ali Maloof (now an SNHU Assistant Coach)...Freshman Emily Carbonneau (Lowell, Mass.) has hit more home runs than any other player in the league (10) and she is in fifth place in RBI (32)....SNHU is two wins away from matching the program record for wins in a season, set last year when the Penmen went 38-14.

Notes: The Setters have been one of the hottest teams around after dropping a pair to the Penmen on April 6 at the SNHU Softball Field, winning 16 of its final 20 games to qualify for the NE10 tournament.  They took out Southwest Division #3 seed Le Moyne on Tuesday, scoring single runs in four consecutive innings.  Catcher Aby Brambila homered, one of three extra-base hits for the Setters, and Emma Bernet went the distance with a three-hitter.
