SNHU Sits Fifth at Lady Penmen Invitational

The Southern New Hampshire University women's golf team sits fifth out of six teams following the first round of the Lady Penmen Invitational Saturday.

Freshman Kaitlyn Lutinski (Derry, N.H.) is 21st in the field of 35 after shooting an 88.  Classmate Kailey Coleman (North Berwick, Maine) sits two shots back at 90. Aimee Cawlina (Peabody, Mass.) shot a 95, while Kerry Twomey (Londonderry, N.H.) carded a 98.

 - SNHU's 371 is a single-round record for the third-year program, bettering their 376 effort at Lake Sunapee earlier this season by five strokes.
 - Merrimack College (307) holds a nine-shot lead on Le Moyne College (316) following the first round, with Merrimack's Alessandra Ricigliano leading the field with a one-over 74.
 - Franklin Pierce (329) and Holy Cross (333) sit third and fourth, while Assumption College (441) is sixth.

The second and final round of the Lady Penmen Invitational is Sunday at Lake Sunapee.
