Women’s Golf in Second After One Round of Lady Penmen Spring Classic


When and Where: April 16, 2016 – Goffstown, N.H. (Stonebridge Country Club – Par 72)
Score: Southern New Hampshire University (366), 2nd/3

Junior Aimee Cawlina (Peabody, Mass.) shot an 85 on Saturday as the Southern New Hampshire University women's golf team placed second at the first round of the Lady Penmen Spring Classic at Stonebridge Country Club.

The Penmen totaled a 366 to finish 81 strokes ahead of Assumption College, but 35 strokes back of Franklin Pierce University.

Cawlina is in fifth place at nine strokes off the pace.

Freshman Kaitlyn Lutinski (Derry, N.H.) carded a 91 to finish the day in a tie for seventh, while junior Kerry Twomey (Londonderry, N.H.) fired a 93 and is currently in 10th place.

Freshman Kailey Coleman (North Berwick, Maine) entered the clubhouse with a 97 to sit 12th after day one.

- The Lady Penmen Spring Classic is comprised of 20 student-athletes from six institutions.

The Penmen are back in action Sunday, April 17 when they wrap up the Lady Penmen Spring Classic.
