MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Southern New Hampshire University women's track and field team was predicted to finish seventh at the 2019 Northeast-10 Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, as the league announced the results of its annual coaches' poll. The Championships will be held this Friday and Saturday at SNHU's Penmen Stadium.
Stonehill College received eight first-place votes and are predicted to repeat as women's champions, as it compiled 118 points. Assumption registered three first-place votes and netted 106 points. Southern Connecticut State University (97), American International College (76) and Adelphi University (69) rounded out the top-five.
Franklin Pierce University checked in at No. 6 with 68 points. The Ravens are followed by SNHU (66), Merrimack College (55), The College of Saint Rose (48) and the University of New Haven (470). Bentley University (27) and Le Moyne College (15) capped the pretournament coaches' poll at No. 11 and No. 12, respectively.
Southern Connecticut (99) received nine first-place votes and were the pick on the men's side ahead of AIC (83) and Stonehill (77).
The 2019 Northeast-10 Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be held on May 3 and May 4 at Penmen Stadium.
