O’Hanlon Earns First-Team All-Conference; Women’s Cross Country Finishes Ninth at NE-10 Championship

Junior Laura O'Hanlon (Dedham, Mass.) of Southern New Hampshire University finished third in a time of 22:37 en route to being named First-Team All-Conference at the 2015 Northeast-10 Women's Cross Country Championship on Sunday. O'Hanlon paced the Penmen, who finished ninth out of 15 competing institutions.

After becoming the first Southern New Hampshire student-athlete in school history to earn First-Team women's cross country accolades in 2014, O'Hanlon is now the first-ever two-time all-conference performer.

Freshman Gabby Richardson (Litchfield, N.H.) was next to cross the finish line for SNHU, as she completed the 6,000-meter race in 24:16. Senior Stacey Wojcik (Wrentham, Mass.) checked in at No. 3 for the Penmen at 25:31 and she was followed by freshman Ashley Dennis (Coventry, R.I.), who posted a time of 26:24. 

Junior Felicia Dowling (Merrimack, N.H.) finished just behind Dennis in 26:28 and sophomore Kaitlin McCauley (Waltham, Mass.) navigated the course in 26:46. Junior Devanee Ebert (Reading, Mass.) rounded out the group of Penmen competitors in 29:08.

Notes:
 - O'Hanlon has finished in the top-three of her two most recent races, and in the top-10 four times in five outings.
 - Stonehill College's Nicole Borofski captured the individual title in 21:48, and she was followed by teammate Aisha McAdams in 22:32.

What's Next:
Southern New Hampshire is off until Sunday, Nov. 8 when it travels to the NCAA East Regional at the Hopkinton Fair Grounds in Hopkinton, N.H.
