Women's Cross Country Competes at UMass-Dartmouth; Henson Top Finisher For SNHU

Results: Southern New Hampshire University – 16th/45 (318)

The Penmen finished in 16th place in the 45 team field at the 46th annual UMass-Dartmouth Buddy Harris Cross Country Invitational on Saturday.  Freshman Grace Henson (Cumberland, R.I.) was the top finisher for SNHU in 19th place at 19:08.67.


  • Henson, who's already earned a Northeast-10 Rookie of the Week, was the top finisher for the Penmen
  • Junior Jill Dieterich (Commack, N.Y.) finished second on the team and 45th overall (19:42.34)
  • Senior Ashley Dennis (Coventry, R.I.) had a time of 20:33.95 and finished 108th
  • Sophomore Maura Coakley (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) had a DNF


  • SNHU participated in the meet at UMass-Dartmouth for the first time since 2015 
  • Brandeis, Trinity and Merrimack were the top teams and the top individual was Emily Bryson of Brandeis


  • The Penmen will compete next at the New England Championships on October 6th in Boston
