Dr. George J. Larkin Field

Home to the SNHU field hockey team, Dr. George J. Larkin Field was opened in the fall of 2003 and was also home to men’s and women’s soccer, as well as men's and women's lacrosse, until the fall of 2017 when Penmen Stadium opened. Larkin Field received its latest facelift in the summer of 2013 as a new Xgrass surface was installed, replacing the original synthetic surface. Larkin Field features bleacher seating for 2,000, as well as dugouts to protect players and coaches from the elements.  The facility also features a state-of-the-art press box which houses Penmen Productions as well as all other facts of game operation and presentation.

George Larkin oversaw the SNHU Athletic Department from 1969-2004, serving as Vice President for Student Affairs at the University from 1983-2004.  The field was dedicated in his honor on April 23, 2004.
