SNHU Hosting Fill the Cupboard Games Saturday, Tuesday

MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Southern New Hampshire University Department of Athletics will be supporting SNHU's "The Cupboard" with its Fill the Cupboard games Saturday, Sept. 22 and Tuesday, Sept. 25.

The Cupboard is an on-campus food pantry, located in the Student Center 110, which is a space for any SNHU community member – students, faculty or staff – who is experiencing food insecurity to fill the gaps.

During Saturday's field hockey game against. Southern Connecticut State University at noon (Larkin Field), women's soccer match versus American International College at 4 p.m. (Penmen Stadium) and men's soccer tilt against Stonehill College at 7 p.m. (Penmen Stadium, as well as Tuesday's volleyball match versus Franklin Pierce University at 7 p.m. (Stan Spirou Field House), members of the cheerleading squad will be collecting both monetary and food donations for The Cupboard. 

Items The Cupboard is seeking are: 

Canned chicken
Canned tuna
Canned salmon
Peanut butter
Canned soup/stew/chili
Canned/dried beans
Mac n' cheese
Jelly/jam
Canned fruit
Canned vegetables
Rice/rice mixes
