MANCHESTER, N.H. – Several changes have been announced for the Southern New Hampshire University Athletic Hall of Fame, it was announced recently.
New classes to the Athletic Hall of Fame will now be elected and inducted on a biennial basis by the Hall of Fame Committee. In addition, the induction ceremony traditionally held in January will be held during Homecoming Weekend in the fall, with the next induction ceremony slated for the fall of 2015. Nominations are now being accepted for the Class of 2015 here.
“Our Athletic Hall of Fame is a very prestigious event and I think these adjustments afford a respectful time period between classes,” said Anthony Fallacaro, SNHU Director of Athletics and Recreation. “By including the event with Homecoming, it will provide an improved and heightened atmosphere to showcase our inductees.”
A total of 104 individuals and two teams are currently enshrined in the SNHU Athletic Hall of Fame.
