After a four-year, standout career in a Penmen uniform, Katie Caruso joined the Southern New Hampshire University softball coaching staff prior to the 2017 season.
One of the most feared hitters in the Northeast-10 Conference during her tenure in Manchester, Caruso helped lead the Penmen to a pair of NCAA Division II East Regional crowns and two trips to the NCAA Division II East Super Regional. She finished her career third all-time in program history in hits (168), second in doubles (34), third in RBI (104), fifth in runs scored (86) and seventh in home runs (19). A 2015 All-Northeast-10 Conference selection, Caruso also graduated with the highest fielding percentage in school history.
During her four seasons at Southern New Hampshire, the Penmen won four-straight Northeast-10 Conference Northeast Division titles, advanced to three consecutive Northeast-10 Conference Tournament finals and won back-to-back conference championships in 2014 and 2015. Caruso was named the Most Valuable Player of the 2015 Northeast-10 Championship after batting .500 with four RBI and four runs scored in two games.
A native of Newton, Massachusetts, Caruso currently resides in Manchester, New Hampshire.
