MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Southern New Hampshire University athletic department saw 249 of its student-athletes, representing all 19 programs, earn Northeast-10 Spring 2019 Academic Honor Roll recognition, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
CLEVELAND – The Southern New Hampshire University athletic department finished 61st in the final release of the Learfield Sports Directors' Cup standings Thursday, as it totaled 300.25 points for its second best finish ever.
The 2019 Southern New Hampshire University, Saint Anselm College, Bentley University and Merrimack College Elite Softball Skills ID Clinic will take place on Tuesday, July 16, 2019. The Clinic is open to any and all participants from ages 14 to 18, and features two sessions that span from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Athletes may register for a single session or both sessions. The first session will focus on pitchers and catchers, while the second session will work on hitting and defense.

The Southern New Hampshire University softball team saw its season end on Saturday with a 4-0 loss to 20th-ranked Saint Anselm in the NCAA East Regional 1. The Penmen matched a school record with 38 wins for a second consecutive season.
Junior Maddy Barone tossed a two-hitter and sophomore Emily Critch homered twice as Southern New Hampshire stayed alive in the NCAA tournament with a 7-0 win over Georgian Court. That sets up another game, or two, with Saint Anselm on Saturday. The 20th ranked Hawks beat the Penmen 5-0 earlier in the day on Friday.

Barone, a pitcher, was named to the First-Team and Garczynski was named the Second-Team catcher.
