A new program mark for SNHU was set in the distance medley on the first day of the New England Indoor Track & Field Championships Friday.
The SNHU distance medley team ran to a new program record of 12:47.62 on the first day of competition at the New England Indoor Track & Field Championships Friday at the Reggie Lewis Track & Field Center. The team was comprised of three freshmen, Grace Henson (Cumberland, R.I.), Meghan Stroh (New Fairfield, Conn.), Ashley Corcoran (East Longmeadow, Mass.) and sophomore Maura Coakley (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.).
Senior Ashley Elder (Bristol, Conn.) wound up in 18th place in the weight throw with a 14.68m (48' 2"). The shot put competition is scheduled for Saturday and Elder will participate.
The Penmen will compete tomorrow (Saturday) at the Panther Invitational at Plymouth State University.
