Leine McKechnie (Passadumkeag, Maine) helped softball to a 3-3 week, as she went 3-1 over six appearances, submitting a 1.18 ERA in 23-and-two-thirds innings, and allowing just 14 hits, while striking out 12. She gave up just one earned run in each of her two starts. She picked up her first win in relief, relinquishing just one run on four hits, while striking out a pair without walking a batter, over three innings in an 8-3 game-two triumph at American International College. In a 4-1 game-two win over Southern Connecticut State University, she gave up one run on thee hits over six innings, striking out four and walking only one. She capped the week by beating the University of New Haven, 9-1, in game two with six innings of one-run ball, letting up just three hits, while fanning a pair and walking two.
