Alex Rivera (Lowell, Mass.) recorded 20.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game, while knocking down 60.6 percent (20-33) of his shots from the field, including 54.5 percent (12-22) from beyond the arc, and 76.9 percent (10-13) at the line, as men's basketball went 3-0 last week. Rivera splashed in a career-high 27 points (9-15 FG, 5-10 3-FG, 4-5 FT), to go with five rebounds and three assists in a 78-70 win over Saint Rose in Tuesday's regular-season finale, and then poured in 23 points (8-10 FG, 6-8 3-FG, 1-2 FT), grabbed eight rebounds and dished a pair of helpers in an 83-76 victory at Pace in Sunday's NE10 Championship quarterfinal. The first three of Rivera's 12 points in a 105-76 triumph over Franklin Pierce in the NE10 first round Friday made him the 53rd member of the program to score his 1,000th career point in a Penmen uniform.
