Amelia Freitas (Plymouth, Mass.) went 2-0 with a 0.91 ERA in three starts, spinning two complete games, including a no-hitter against American International College, as she allowed just three runs on five hits, while striking out 16, over 23 innings of a 4-1 week for softball. Freitas no-hit the Yellow Jackets in game one – a 14-0, five-inning victory – striking out seven and walking only one, as she recorded the first no-hitter for the Penmen in eight years.
