PHILADELPHIA - Host Philadelphia University scored a goal
in each half en route to a 2-0 women's soccer victory over Southern
New Hampshire University Saturday afternoon. The Rams
improved to 4-3 overall, while the Penmen are now 3-4-1 on the
season.
Philadelphia opened the scoring
just shy of the 18 minute mark when the Rams were awarded a penalty
kick and Rebecca Kennedy successfully converted it for her second
goal of the season. The Rams added an insurance goal at the
81:53 mark when it was awarded an own goal.
Sara Hall made one save en route to
the shutout. Stef Young (Natick, MA) stopped
one shot for Southern New Hampshire. Philadelphia owned a
slight 7-6 shot advantage.
SNHU continues its two game road
trip Sunday when it travels to Georgian Court University for a noon
match.
