SYRACUSE,
N.Y. - The Southern New Hampshire opened the 2007-08
season Sunday by topping Le Moyne College on the road by a 5-4
score. The Penmen took two of three doubles matches while
splitting the six singles matches with the Dolphins. Le Moyne
is now 0-2 on the season.
Junior David
Spaggiari (Louisville, KY) posted a 7-5, 6-4 win at No. 1
singles for SNHU, while Luis Ramirez (San
Cristobal, Venezuela) was victorious in the No. 2 slot with a 6-3,
6-0 win. The pair would also combine for an 8-5 doubles win.
Andrew McFarland (Windham, ME) was the other
Penmen winner in singles, posting a 6-4, 7-5 win at No. 5.
Michael Ricciardi
(Londonderry, NH) and Sam Gould (Londonderry, NH)
posted a 9-7 win at No. 2 doubles for Southern New Hampshire.
SNHU returns to action Sunday when
it hosts Franklin Pierce University in a 1:00
match.
