COLCHESTER, Vt. -
David Spaggiari (Manizales, Colombia) and
Luis Ramirez (San Cristobal, Venezuela) picked up
two wins apiece but the Southern New Hampshire University men's
tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision to host Saint Michael's College
Sunday afternoon. The Purple Knights improved to 3-0 and 2-0
in Northeast-10 play, while the Penmen close out the fall portion
of their schedule 2-3 overall and in the league.
Spaggiari and Ramirez teamed up to
post a 9-8 (8-6) win at No. 1 doubles over Sean Steigerwald and
Dmitri Reprikou. Spaggiari also took down a win at No. 1
singles, defeating John Lescure 6-4, 5-7, 6-3. Ramirez won at
No. 2 singles, topping SMC's Torr Terranova 6-0, 6-1.
