SYRACUSE, N.Y. -
The Southern New Hampshire University men's tennis team closed out
the fall portion of its 2008-09 schedule with a 5-4 win over Le
Moyne College in Northeast-10 action Saturday. The Penmen
improve to 2-2 overall and in the league, while the Dolphins are
2-5 and 1-4 in the league.
David Spaggiari
(Manizales, Colombia) and Luis Ramirez (San
Cristobal, Venezuela) combined to post a 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles
while also posting singles wins at No. 1 (6-2, 6-1) and No. 2 (6-2,
6-2), respectively. John Niland (Cheshire,
CT) was SNHU's other winner in singles play, posting a 7-5, 6-2 win
at No. 6.
Southern New Hampshire's other
point came at No. 2 doubles where Colin Stone
(Manchester, NH) and Jeff Bunker (Salem, NH) were
9-7 victors.
