BOSTON - Jeff Rose stopped all 42 shots he faced as
Suffolk University posted a 4-0 ECAC-Northeast ice hockey victory
over Southern New Hampshire University Monday night. The Rams
improve to 11-13-1 overall while SNHU is 11-12-1 on the season. It
marked the regular season finale for the Penmen.
Rose stopped all 42 shots thrown at
him Monday night as the Penmen outshot the Rams 42-37.
Shane Brooks (Kennebunk, ME) made 33 saves for
Southern New Hampshire.
Suffolk got out to a 2-0 lead with
goals by Mike Mondello at 9:06 and Kyle Cook at 19:11. After a
scoreless second period, the Rams scored twice more in the third,
with Cook scoring on a power play at 4:33 and Dan Pencinger adding
an empty net goal with five seconds to play.
SNHU returns to action in the
Northeast-10 Tournament and will host either a quarterfinal
Saturday or a semifinal Tuesday evening. Game date, time and
opponent will be announced in the near future.
