Men's Tennis Eliminated from Northeast-10 Tournament

EASTON, Mass. - Second-seeded and host Stonehill College eliminated No. 7 seed Southern New Hampshire University from the 2008 Northeast-10 men's tennis tournament by a 5-0 score on Tuesday afternoon.  The Skyhawks improve to 17-5 overall and advance to Thursday's semifinals, while the Penmen see their season come to a close at 4-8.

Stonehill swept all three doubles matches and took down wins at No. 4 and No. 6 singles to earn the win.  The closest match of the day came at first doubles, where Michael Mashkevich and Tim Fayed were taken to the wire by SNHU's David Spaggiari (Manizales, Colombia) and Luis Ramirez (San Cristobal, Venezuela) before prevailing 9-8.

Southern New Hampshire qualified for the eight-team NE-10 Tournament for the fifth consecutive year.
