GARDEN CITY, N.Y. - Adelphi University's Karen Roveto scored with 26 seconds remaining in regulation to give the Panthers a 1-0 Northeast-10 women's soccer victory over Southern New Hampshire University at Competition Field Saturday evening.  The Panthers are now 8-4 and 6-4 in the NE-10, while the Penmen are 3-9-3 and 1-7-3 in the league.

Roveto scored when she fired a shot from the top of the box that found the back of the net.  It marked Roveto's second goal of the season.

Adelphi keeper Dorothy Connolly made four saves en route to the shutout, while SNHU goalie Stef Young (Natick, Mass.) turned aside eight shots as the Panthers outshot the Penmen 15-8.

Southern New Hampshire returns to action Wednesday when it travels to Saint Anselm College for a 4:00 game.
