MANCHESTER, N.H. - Laura Ostrout's goal 1:30 into the second half lifted Saint Michael's College to a 1-0 Northeast-10 women's soccer victory over Southern New Hampshire University at Larkin Field Tuesday night.  The Purple Knights improved to 3-8-1 overall and 2-6-1 in the NE-10, while the Penmen are now 3-8-3 and 1-6-3 in the league.

Ostrout scored when she got past the Penmen defense and fired a shot from 12 yards out that got over the head of SNHU keeper Stef Young (Natick, Mass.).  The goal was an unassisted tally.

Saint Michael's goalie Ashleigh Adams turned aside four shots en route to the shutout win, while Young turned aside five shots.  The Purple Knights outshot the Penmen 9-7 on the evening.

Southern New Hampshire returns to action Saturday when it travels to Adelphi for a 6:00 game.
