Women's Soccer Shutout at Franklin Pierce

Rindge, N.H. - Gabriela Demoner registered a hat trick for Franklin Pierce University as the Ravens recorded a 5-0 shutout win over Southern New Hampshire University Tuesday afternoon at Sodexo Field.  The win improves the Ravens to 2-1-0 in the Northeast-10 and 4-2-0 overall, while the loss drops the Penmen to 1-1-1 in NE-10 play and 2-2-1 overall.

Demoner got the Ravens on the board 26 minutes into the game after she deflected two defenders and beat SNHU keeper Stef Young (Natick, Mass.) with a low shot.  Franklin Pierce would add another goal 15 minutes into the second half on a goal from Angelika Johansson.  Demoner would waste no time increasing the Ravens' lead as she connected on a pass from Courtney Weber less than three minutes later.  She would complete her hat trick with 22:01 remaining in the second half on a feed from Johansson.  Kelly Sisco would also score for the Ravens, adding a goal with 36 seconds left in regulation.

Jocelyn Leon recorded the shutout for FPU, registering four saves.  Young made ten saves for SNHU as the Ravens outshot the Penmen 22-8.

Southern New Hampshire returns to action on Friday, September 11 as they travel to play Tusculum College at the Little Feet Invitational Tournament in Milledgeville, Ga.
