MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Southern New Hampshire
University Penmen fell to the St. Anselm Hawks by a score of 3-0
Tuesday evening at Sullivan Arena. The Penmen fall to 3-13-3
(1-5-2 NE-10) while the Hawks better their record to 10-8-1 (3-0-1
NE-10), while remaining undefeated in Northeast-10 Conference play.
Both teams were held scoreless through the first period, but St.
Anselm struck first, as Tucker Mullin recorded a goal 48 seconds
into the period with helpers from Timothy King and Evan
Gogonis. At 8:28 of the second period, Tucker Mullin scored
his second goal of the night, unassisted.
Tucker Mullin scored his third goal of the evening at 9:14 of
the third period, deking past a Penmen defender and scoring
five-hole for the unassisted tally to extend the Hawks lead to 3.
SNHU netminder Mike Mastracci (Pittsburgh, Pa.)
went the distance in goal, stopping 40 of 43 shots on net.
St. Anselm goaltender Alex Wyse also went the distance, halting all
19 shots on net.
Southern New Hampshire University returns to action against
Stonehill February 13 at the Ice Den in a 7:00 tilt.
